Cannon Shots, Egbe Mkpọ N’ala: Igbo Communication System that Conveys and Reverberates.

When Akuma Goodluck had his son after four daughters in the early hours of an Afọ day, he quicky sent for Adindu, the renowned cannon operator of Okehi, in Etche Local Governmet Area of Rivers State. “My brother, God and my ancestors have finally answered my prayers, go and bring your instruments; first, I must acknowledge this good fortune by thanking my ancestors in a big way.” Within an hour, Adindu returned with his cannons and began to offload them. Following the directive of his employer the former went to Mkpuko, an enclave, where Akuma’s forbearers first settled and were buried. There, he let out four blasts.
