Okorocha’s saga at Sokoto facility: A right and courageous move by Namdi Kanu to discourage Igbo treachery

If news from the social media that a visit to Nnamdi Kanu by Rochas Okorocha, former governor of Imo State, turned into a humiliating fiasco is true, then, the former has once again demonstrated a propensity to showing how Igbo degeneracy can be tackled.

It was announced by some media platforms that on his arrival, Okorocha had sought to see the IPOB leader. However, what followed was dumbfounded according to the following accounts:

Kanu Snubs Okorocha at Sokoto Pr!son, Orders Him Out

Detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has reportedly refused to meet with former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, during an attempted visit to him at the Sokoto Correctional Facility.

According to prison sources, Kanu declined to come out to see the former governor, allegedly instructed prison officials to immediately escort him out of the facility.

Kanu was quoted as saying he has “no dealings with individuals who contributed to the killings of Igbo or made life unbearable for them,” accusing Okorocha of being among such persons.

“I will not receive anyone who played a role in the oppression, suffering and bloodshed of my people,” Kanu reportedly told prison officials.

“A hero is known by his deeds,” the Igbo would always say. In a way, the attitude of Kanu by chasing Okorocha away has a demonstration of courage and genuineness. It has shown that rumours of steadfastness and commitment to Igbo emancipation, often credited to Kanu, is true.

If a tiny fraction of patriotic Igbo would emulate Kanu and adopt such a non-kinetic- approach to drive home the message of anger and disapproval against the likes of Okorocha in Igbo land, things would have been better for the Igbo. People like Gov. Chukwuma Soludo, Engr. Dave Umahi, Orji Uzor Kalu, Joe Igbokwe, Benjamin Kalu and other numerous Igbo traitors, are in this category.

It is not an irony that Ndi Igbo who have continued to shout marginalization, victimization etc., but at the same time, continue to fraternize, felicitate and secretary connive with those they know, are the cause of their predicament. Marginalization and victimizations in Nigeria are wide spread. It equally has  different shades, perceptions and levels, it is because the Igbo have continued to tolerate their traducers, failed to do the needful and in most cases, betray themselves that those who are not even qualified to touch the Igbo apron, are sticking their dirty fingers into the Igbo eyes.

On this, Nnadmdi Kanu has demonstrated courage, prudence and direction; the rest is left for Ndi Igbo.
