Why Ndi Igbo must embrace APGA, by Ihenacho, Umeh

Former minister of Interior, Capt. Emmanuel Ihenacho and the former national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Umeh have enjoined Ndigbo to embrace the party as their own political party to give Ndigbo a strong voice in Nigeria’s political system.

Ihenacho, who played host to Umeh in his Emekuku country-home when the latter came to commiserate with him on the death of his mother, Ezinne Anna Eringaonyeuba Iheanacho at the weekend, said that APGA had remained the only viable political platform for Ndigbo to re-launch themselves and advance progressively into the country’s political arena. “I am indeed proud to be associated with APGA.

There is no other political platform for Ndigbo than APGA. After reviewing recent developments in the nation’s polity, I am indeed convinced that Igbos can liberate themselves politically and negotiate stronger if only we join APGA”, Ihenacho said.

In his remarks, Umeh applauded Ihenacho for remaining steadfast with the party as well as playing leadership roles towards repositioning the party in Imo State. Umeh said: “Let me remind you that you are a member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of APGA hence you are no longer available to contest for an elective office. You are part of the conscience of the party. As one of the elders of the party, you will be always consulted. It is noble enough that someone like you can still retain the membership of BoT of APGA.
