Recent findings regarding the forth-coming national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has revealed that former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is indirectly sponsoring the event.
A reliable source close to this online medium informed us that Abubakar is indirectly funding the event and has mapped out huge sum of money in a bid to make sure that his men triumphed at the convention billed to take place in Port Harcourt Rivers State on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.
Another source close to the former PDP chieftain, denied the involvement of the “Turakin Adamawa” over the sponsorship of the convention, while others insisted that he is rightly sponsoring and funding some of his cronies for various positions at the convention in order to pave way for his alleged return to the party where he is expected to emerge as the presidential candidate for the 2019 general election.
On why he may want to leave APC, having spent so much on the party, the source who is very close to the one time governor elect of Adamawa State declared: “Don’t you notice that His Excellency has been sidelined in the scheme of things in a bid to scuttle his ambition to occupying the highest political office in the country.
“He was not even allowed to be a member of the Board of Trustees, BOT, after his commitment both in cash and loyalty to the party. It is very bad that some disgruntled elements and cabals have hijacked APC and this has manifested on dwindling fortunes of the country,” the source further stressed.
However, our investigation revealed that the former vice president will soon return to the PDP, even as it was also informed that the alleged decamping ceremony would take place next April 2017.
Information has it that Atiku Abubakar, will return to the PDP alongside his numerous supporters cut across in the nation and in the Diaspora. It was equally gathered that APC faithfuls and chieftains have started panicking over the rumoured exit of Atiku who is described as a political Iroko in the country.
