Family members of four dead victims of an accident which occurred at Lugbe, Abuja, last Sunday, have demanded investigation into the incident.

The City News gathered that the victims, together with a surviving 10-year-old child, were riding in a Peugeot 307 Estate (Lift back) when a Toyota Camry car with registration number KE 63 Eky, allegedly overtook them.  “We gathered from an eyewitness that immediately the Toyota Camry which was on top speed overtook them, it applied break abruptly and, Bridget, the driver, lost control of the wheels, hit the vehicle from the near and crashed into the ditch. Before family members and friends  arrived the scene, the dead bodies and the wrecked cars were evacuated by the Lugbe police.

“The saddest thing is that the police are yet to tell us what actually happened and where are the surviving victims in the Camry car. We want proper investigation into the matter because it appears somebody is trying to hide something.”

He said that Miss Sena Kajo, daughter of the driver of the Peugeot car and the only surviving victim in the car, was critically injured and taken to the hospital in Abuja for treatment. He said the victims attended a thanksgiving service at Christ the King Catholic Church, Kurudu, and were on their way back home when the accident occurred.
