Olajumoke goes international, stars in editorial shoot in South Africa

Olajumoke’s grass to grace story which stunned everyone two years ago, has taken her international, as the mother of two has starred for a fashion shoot in South Africa.

Fast-rising model, Olajumoke Orisaguna, keeps on growing her portfolio and making a stamp in the modelling industry and we couldn’t be more proud.

Asides being a Vlogger and recently bagging a show on African Magic Yoruba, Olajumoke recently walked the runway at the just concluded Soweto Fashion Week in South Africa.

During her stay, she had an editorial photoshoot with South Africa’s top designer David Tlale.

People say fairytale are just for kids, but when they happen in real life, everyone feels the magic. Olajumoke unknowingly walked into a photo shoot session of British rapper, Tinie Tempah, by Nigerian photographer, TY Bello, TY Bello, while making edits, found an image of Olajumoke and Tinie Tempah amongst the photos. Bello’s searched for Olajumoke and photographed her. She appeared on the cover of This Day magazine before she was employed as a model. Her life simply took a turn for the better as she instantly became Nigeria’s Cinderella story.

Jumoke as she’s fondly called, traveled to Lagos with one of her children where she hoped to make more money selling bread. Her husband stayed behind in Osun State with the other child where he installs sliding doors for a living.

Jumoke was later offered a modelling contract, internships and work, even though she’s not fluent in English Language. Following her success, her husband and other the child moved to Lagos.

She later got jobs in some major presenting shows and make up schools. The story was reported in various media sources, including CNN and BBC Africa.
